1 package Nema ground beef
¼ cup uncooked Duru broken rice
1 medium onion, grated
¼ finely chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
3-4 Tbsp Ipek Wheat flour
5 cups of water
1 egg, beaten
juice of 1 lemon
Mix and knead the beef, rice, onion, parsley and the seasonings.
Make it into small balls. Put the flour in a shallow dish and drench the meatballs in the flouyr as you form them. In a large pot boil 5 cups of water, cook the meatballs in this boiling water for half an hour on medium heat. Mix the lemon juice and the egg in a small bowl, one at
a time add two-three tablespoons of the cooking liquid from the pot into the egg mixture to temper and stir. Then pour the whole mixture back into the bowl, stir and simmer for a couple of minutes. Serve hot.
