Tahini Cookies
7 oz (14 tbsp) Muratbey Butter, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup Torku tahini
2 cups Ipek wheat flour
1 tsp Basak baking powder
pinch salt
Piyale powdered sugar, optional
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a large bowl beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add tahini and mix to incorporate.
In a smaller bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt
Combine dry ingredients with the tahini mixture.
Roll the cookie dough in to a log, place in plastic wrap, roll tightly, refrigerate at least an hour.
Slice the dough into rounds, put on a parchment lined baking sheet two inches apart.
Bake for 15 minutes, remove from oven, cool .
Dust with powdered sugar if desired, enjoy!
